Who we are
Rescue Rookies is a teen-led nonprofit dedicated to teaching young children essential first aid skills. Through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate workshops, we empower kids to respond confidently in emergencies—covering topics like calling 911, basic CPR, wound care, and safety awareness. Our sessions are led by trained teen volunteers who serve as positive role models and mentors. We believe that with the right tools and support, even the youngest children can save lives.
About the Founder
Talia Steer, founder of Rescue Rookies, is a high school student passionate about healthcare and youth empowerment. Inspired by her passion for medicine, she launched the nonprofit to teach kids first aid. Talia leads with compassion, creating fun, accessible workshops that empower young heroes everywhere.
